Abstract

Health education is a process of change in a person with a view to achieving a healthy degree. The purpose ofhealth education is to change behavior that is not healthy to be healthy both at the individual, group, and community.Learning process involves the interaction of teachers as educators and students as learners. Students as subjectsin the study of health education are expected to implement healthy lifestyle in everyday life. Teachers as educatorsshould be able to realize the change in the behavior of students who have a responsibility for the health of the studentsthemselves. Responsibility for health can be seen through the behavior of students in the habit (behaviorsm) ineveryday life. Healthy behavior change through health education is not simply transfer the knowledge and attitudesof teachers, but how students can behave in achieving a balance between the environment, behavior, and human.Health education in schools can be realized through the School Health Unit (UKS).Keywords: Health Education, Behavior, Students

Abstract

This study aims to determine the management system and the development of sports in high school extracurricularactivities/ MAN/ equivalent in Sleman, Yogyakarta in 2012. This research is a descriptive qualitative-quantitative.The method used in this study is a survey method to test the technique. Subjects in this study were all high schoolorchestra teacher of sports education/ MAN/ equivalent in Sleman district, Yogyakarta in 2012, taken by incidentalsampling, i.e. all orchestra teacher of sports education who attended the event MGMPs SMA/ MAN who totaled 13orchestra teacher of sports education. The instrument used for data collection in this study using an open questionnaireinstrument. Data analysis techniques in this study using descriptive statistical analysis with qualitative - quantitativepercentages. The results showed that of the 13 teachers in 13 high schools / MAN / equivalent in Sleman, Yogyakartain detail there are 12 schools have implemented the management and development of sport extracurricular activitieswith good and only 1 school who have not: (1) The function of organizing, from 13 schools there are 7 schools thathave a stewardship organization chart and the 6 school teachers feel no idea. (2) Planning functions are arranged intwo groups: long-term plans and short-term. (3) The function of most of the schools decision made are determinedthrough consensus agreement with the involvement of managers, coaches, students, principals, and sometimesinvolve parents or the school committee. (4) The function of supervision/ leadership (decision-making related functions)mostly use the democratic leadership style (negotiate). (5) The function of control and control systems mostly usebooks and monitoring presence on the ground. (6) The function improvement, evaluation and assessment systemsmostly use the practice test that is conducted every semester. (7) Planning staff and personnel functions, related to theway the selection or hiring coaches conducted collaboratively between an open and a closed selection has the samepower (balanced). And (8) financial budgeting function, most of the operational funding comes from parent parents.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the difference effect of reciprocal method and self check method on the basic skilltechnic of volleyball. The population of the research consists of 60 male students at UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, with40 students as random samples which then divide into two groups. First group is reciprocal method and second groupis self check method. Based on data analysis technique it gets t observation: 13.198 Mean while for t. table = 4.11 (tobservation: 13.198 t count 4.11). Based on the result of the analysis, conclusions are drawn as follows that thereis a significant difference between reciprocal method and self check method on the basic skill technic of volleyball.Keywords: Reciprocal, Self Check, Volleyball

Abstract

This study aims to determine the attitude of elementary school students to sports and health education, involvinglike or dislike and favorite order of the twelve areas of study in the Elementary School. Population of elementary schoolstudents Keputran 1, 2 Keputran Primary School, Primary School A and School Keputran Kraton basis, a sampleof 400 students from each school consisted of 100 respondents with a composition of 50 sixth grade students, 30fifth grade students and 20 fourth grade students. Comparison of 50 % female students and 50 % male students.Random sampling technique and proportional (proportional random sampling ). Research instrument in the form ofa questionnaire which is a mixed open. results closed questionnaire and questionnaire research showed that thePhysical Education Health Sports ranks 1 out of 12 students preferred field of study that is in elementary school.The attitude of the students stated that 130 students (34 %) stated thrilled and 196 students (53 %) felt happy, feltnormal 50 students (13 %). Students are happy to justify the benefits of Physical Education Sports Health for healthreasons (43 %) as in outer space free (22 %) , close student-teacher relationship (13 %), the material is not a lot ofthinking (26 %), while learning playing around quipped (17 %), want to see famous athletes (18 %), the reason othersinclude: making new friends , see the sights outside (10 %). On the abolition of primary school curriculum sports andhealth education of 361 students (96 %) disagreed, 12 students (3 %) of the unaware, 1 student (0.03 %) disagreeand 4 students (0.97 %) corrupted data. Students' opinions about the presentation sports and health education 260students (69 %) blend of theory and practice in a room outside the room, 99 students (26 %) only requires practice,4 students (1 %) require only a theory, 9 students (2.4 %) did not answer and 6 students (1.6 %) of the indifferent.Keywords: Attitude, Elementary Students, Sports And Health Education.

Abstract

Students attending KKN-PPL required to possess cardiorespiration fitness as well as good index of body mass andto know them need to test. This research carried out to know the fitness level of cardiorespiration and good indexof body mass for education and sport PGSD students in Wates Campus who attended KKN-PPL year 2012. Thisresearch method is survey with the subject of it is education and sport with study program PGSD students in WatesCampus who attended KKN-PPL year 2012, total numbers are 56 students consisting of 52 male and 4 femaleones. The technique of data withdrawal uses test and measurement. Instrumen for cardiorespiration fitness uses2,4 km running test from Cooper, and instrument for index of body mass measured by using IMB rule that is= BodyWeight (kg)/Body Height square (m). Result of the research shows that for cardiorespirasi fitness category: verygood and well trained is 1.8%; very good is 8.9%; good is 21.4%; medium is 37.5%; lack is 19.7%; and too lack is10.7%. While the result for mass body index category: fat is 5.4%; normal is 82.1%; and lack of nutrient I is 12.5%. Ifobserved based on type of sex, for male cardiorespiration fitness category: very good and well trained is 1.9%; verygood is 9.6%; good is 23.1%; medium is 38.5%; lack is 19.2%; and too lack is 7.7%. Female cardiorespiration fitnesscategory: medium is 25%; lack is 25%; and to lack is 50%. Index of body mass for male category: fat is 5.8%; normalis 80.8%; and lack of nutrient I is 13.4%. Whereas index of body mass for female, all are in 100% normal category.Keywords: Cardiorespiration Fitness, Mass Body Index.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the various learning needs to proper integrated physical education withother subjects. The study was a descriptive analytic qualitative approach. The subjects were 12 physical educationteachers and 9 classroom teachers in the city of Yogyakarta. The data collecting in this study used Focused GroupDiscussion (FGD), interviews, observation, and documentation. The instrument of the study is FGD and structuredinterview guide, observation and documentation sheet. Analysis of the data used a qualitative data analysis. Thisstudy has uncovered a variety of needs integrated physical education with other subjects. The needs are (1) anunderstanding of the purpose of equalization physical education comprehensively, (2) intensive discussions betweenphysical teachers and classroom teachers to identify appropriate SKKD, and (3) mutual collaboration between physicaleducation teachers and classroom teachers to develop infrastructure and instructional media. Integrated physicaleducation with other subjects is expected to be one of the future alternative learning innovations in primary schools.Keywords: Learning, Integration, Penjasorkes, Elementary School.

Abstract

Lately the character the young generation of Indonesian is at the level of worrying There are many bad behaviourdone by young people such as juvenile deliquency, drugs, and some uncivililized actions such as corruption, nepotism,tribe conflics. Those are indicated that the moral decadencies happened in all aspects of life. In a wider context,if we cannot improve the condition, this bad behaviours will lead the disintegration of Indonesia as a united nationand united country. This proves the character building of Indonesian shoud have the first priority in developing thecountry especially in the national education system in Indonesia. The good characters of students will influencestudents performannce in learning and its result. The base character of the students are good in spiritual, patriotism,discipline, responsibility, wide point of view, optimism, deep spiritual view, and deep nationalism. Those charactersmust be internalized into every individiual through education in schools and colleges. Physical education as oneof subject at school has strategic role in internalizing the good characters. This can be done through the activity ofgiving advices, simulation and discussion, example in real practice trough games and teaching learning activities.The most effective technique is example. The Indonesian’s proverb says that one example is more effective thanthousands of advices. Trough games and sport activities, teacher can internalize the good characters into student’spersonalities as well as fun.Keywords: Character Building, Students, Physical Education.

Abstract

This study discusses the physical education teachers’ perceptions of State High School as the city of Yogyakartaon the affective domain assessment . The objectives are to determine the amount of physical education teachers’perceptions of State High School as the city of Yogyakarta on the affective domain assessment in general, as wellas indicators of attitudes, interests, self-concept, value s, and morals. This research is a descriptive study with onevariable, namely: physical education teachers’ perceptions of the affective domain assessment. The population is theentire physical education teacher High School as the city of Yogyakarta, which amounted to 22 people. Instrumentused to collect data using questionnaires. To analyze the data collected, researchers using quantitative descriptiveanalysis techniques with percentages. The results showed that physical education teacher’s perceptions of StateHigh School as the city of Yogyakarta on the affective domain assessment in the category with a percentage of36.36 %. In the affective domain indicator, attitude indicator in the high category with the percentage of 54.55 %,an indicator of interest in the category with a percentage of 36.36, an indicator of self-concept in the category withthe percentage of 54.55 %, the indicator value in the high category with a percentage of 50 %, indicators of moralein the category with the percentage of 27.27 % while the biggest indicator in the affective domain is the attitudeindicator with a percentage of 86.52 % approval. From the analysis of the 5 indicators, trend of State High Schoolphysical education teacher as the city of Yogyakarta in the affective domain valuation assessment focuses on theattitude indicator and indicators of interest.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the enhancement of learning through rope games to improve their wheeling skills gradeVIIIA MTs Maarif NU Pecan Purworedjo in physical education subjects. This research is a class act. Subjects in thisstudy were all students in the class VIIIA MTs Maarif NU Pecan Purworedjo, which amounts to 32 students and is 2cycles and each cycle held 2 meetings. Data analysis techniques are used descriptive analysis. The instrument inthis study using observation sheets, questionnaires, interview guides were filled by students, teachers, and friendsobserver. The study concluded that learning through rope games can further enhance students’ skills in the wheelingfloor gymnastics practice. This is evidenced by the value of the practice has increased significantly. Indicator ofachievement is the KKM (minimum completeness criteria) is 75. Based on the test data value measures students’skills before getting a value less than 75 is 20 students or 62.5 % and the value of more than 75, there were 12students, or 37.5 %. After receiving the first action (cycle 1) students who scored less than 75 live 7 students or21.87 % so in this cycle there is an increase of 40.63 %, meaning students who achieve full KKM to 25 studentsor 78.13 %. In the second cycle students who scored less than 75 is not there or achieves an increase of 100 %.Keywords: Skills, Gymnastics, Wheeling, Rope Games.

Abstract

The study is aimed to map the researches on Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU). The researches mappedare those conducted in 2000-2010. Design of the study is descriptive, with survey method and using quantitativeapproach. The subject is 25 researches on Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) in 2000-2010. Techniquefor collecting data is by using documentation technique. Instrument used is documentation guideline. Validation ofthe instrument is by using expert judgment. In documentation guideline, there is a coding in assisting the analyticalprocess. The coding is the title, researcher (name of researcher, institution, and country), year, purpose, approach,design, and sample/subject, method for collecting data, analytical data technique, and conclusion. Analytical datatechnique is a document analysis which is then quantitatively made it into percentage. Result of the mapping showsthat researches on TGfU has been conducted many times in many countries. 245 of the researchers come fromAustralia. 28% of the researches are conducted in 2003. 68% of the approaches used in the research are qualitativeapproach. Design of researches on TGfU is in variation. Survey and case study method is used in 28% of theresearches. 24% of the researches use experiment and 20% of researches use contain analysis. Researches usingstudents as sample/subject is 48%. 20% of collecting data methods uses test and observation.
